Preparation and precautions before installation of reverse osmosis membrane

System preparation:

1. Flush the pipe
All lines from pre-treatment to reverse osmosis should be flushed to remove harmful solid particles. The flushing time should be controlled at about 30 minutes.

2. Stable pretreatment system
Verify that the preprocessing system is stable.

3. Instrument calibration
Calibrate instruments (complete the inspection and calibration of all flow meters, pressure gauges and water quality testing instruments).

4. Water pressure test
Complete the pressure tolerance test of all lines.

5. High voltage detection
Ensure that there is no leakage point in the system pipeline under normal operation of high pressure.

6. Control system
Control and operation data recording of reverse osmosis system.

Preparation of pressure vessel:

Clean the inner wall of the pressure vessel;
Clean the inner wall of the pressure vessel before installing the reverse osmosis membrane element;
Remove solid particles, dust, etc. that may cause fouling or scratching of membrane elements;
Use a rag or sponge to clean the pressure vessel;
Note: When cleaning the inner wall of the pressure vessel, do not scratch the inner wall;

Water quality analysis:

The inlet water quality must be tested before the installation of the membrane element, and all the test results must meet the inlet water requirements in the warranty terms.

Preparation before installation of membrane elements:

- All preparatory work must be completed before installation of membrane elements, and the environment must be clean and tidy.
- Prepare a clean place for center tube, end plate and other items.
- Prepare safety items (gloves, goggles, safety shoes, etc.).
- Check the number of O-rings, center tubes.
- The installation of membrane elements needs to be carried out in an orderly manner and the installer needs to be familiar with the entire workflow.
- Each installer needs to know what they are responsible for.
- Ensure that the surrounding environment is clean and tidy during installation.

The role of gasket:

When the system is started and shut down, the gasket can reduce the front and back movement of the membrane element in the membrane shell; Reduce friction between the O-ring and the inner shell.
